My father gifted me my first camera at age 16. A sweet 35-millimeter Nikomat.

He taught me the basics to get me started. Over the years I studied photography but it wasn’t until I was hired as an assistant photographer at the Phoebe Hearst Museum of Anthropology at UC Berkeley where I learned how to apply and hone my skills. I photographed works from the permanent collection for research and publication. During my tenure there, I worked on catalog raisonnés and book publications.

I photograph 2D and 3D objects: drawings, paintings, prints, artists’ books, and sculpture. I treat your work as if it were my own. I aim to capture the color, texture, and nuance of your pieces.
